Qualifications
Education:
- State-Certified Translator and Interpreter for the English language (Technical Engineering), French as a second language. Exam in 1999 at the Language College of FIM Fremdspracheninstitut München, Munich, Germany.
- I graduated from one of the most prestigious language colleges in Germany. The professional training I received is largely similar to a corresponding university education - but with an increased focus on practical translation skills.
- State-Certified Quadrilingual Assistant (English, French, Spanish – German), exam in 1996 at the Vocational School for Languages, Landshut, Germany
- State-Certified Physiotherapist, trained at the Vocational School for Physiotherapists, Pfarrkirchen, Germany, exam in 1984. 1984-85 Internship at Eggenfelden Hospital as a physiotherapist. 2 children born in 1986 und 1987. Various part-time jobs in the field of physiotherapy and health care.
Working Experience:
Before starting as a freelancer, I worked for a medium-sized German patent and law firm communicating with international clients for seven years.
Focus:
- Translation of technical texts (automotive, mechanical and electrical engineering, medicine technology), IP and legal texts (patent descriptions, claims, abstracts, lists of goods/services for trademark applications, court decisions, office notifications, agreements in litigation cases, trademark licensing) from English and French into German, as well as translation of texts in the field of trademark law from German and French into English
- All types of related legal correspondence, also business correspondence in commerce
- Trademark search and company name search in the respective databases and legal assessment thereof

Just after my exam, I had completed a work placement with a translation agency and worked as an English teacher where I trained several groups of beginners and intermediate students (Business English).
